Golden Hinde - Die Replika in London

    Ich meinte mich erinnern zu können, dass es einen ausführlichen Bericht von Bonden über seinen Besuch auf der Golden Hinde in Southbank, London gäbe mit vielen Fotos. Das muss wohl in einem Forum vor unserer Zeit gewesen sein :hmm:;) . Bevor ich alte Bilder von meinem Besuch vor 15 Jahren hochlade, hier ein Fund auf Youtube. Offenbar wird die Golden Hinde aktuell grundsaniert, was in Anbetracht des Zustands, den Bonden beklagt hat, sehr erfreulich ist. Eine Besichtigung ist laut der Homepage trotzdem möglich. https://www.goldenhinde.co.uk/visit Vielleicht sind die Arbeiten inzwischen abgeschlossen.

    Ja, da erinnere ich mich auch dran. :D Nun, auch wenn dieser Bericht und das entsprechende Forum nicht mehr da sind, kann ich dennoch etwas beisteuern: Hier der Link auf meine Seite mit den damals geschossenen Fotos: Killick!  :wink:

    Diese Replika ist auf den Spuren Drakes um die Welt gesegelt. Deswegen auch das Steuerrad. Ein Kolderstock galt in den 70er Jahren dann doch als zu unsicher. Und wer sich noch an die Serie erinnert: dieses Schiff kam im Shogun vor.

    Jo, da gabs ja schon im alten und noch älteren Forum Threads zu.

    Interessanterweise hat sie in Shogun als "Erasmus" nen Kolderstock.

    Die Frage nach meinem Besuch damals konnte allerdings Niemand bisher ausreichend beantworten.

    Warum die Torpedowülste die das Original offensichtlich nicht hatte und die Replik beim Stapellauf auch nicht

    Beim Shogun sind die Aufnahmen auf Deck wohl im Studio gedreht, und da historisch korrekt mit Kolderstock. Alle Aufnahmen vom Schiff von außen auf See sind von der Golden Hinde.

    Im alten Forum wuden die Torpedowülste bereits diskutiert. Sollten wohl der Stabilisierung des Rumpfes dienen. Waren bei Stapellauf definitiv noch nicht da. Bei den Filmaufnahmen der Weltumseglung, kann ich nicht erkennen, ob die schon angebracht waren.

    Allerdings: So viel schwieriger ist es auch nicht, es bedarf, im Gegensatz zu "früher", nur eines Reisepasses statt eines Persos... mit 6 Monaten Restlaufzeit. ;)
